Copse View Cottage

A stunning, 3 bedroomed, semi-detached, stone barn conversion, sleeping 6 to 8 people. When booked with Peak view can sleep up to 17 adults plus 2 infants, on its own sleeps 7 to 9 adults and 1 infant.

The barn was originally built in 1682 and part of the duke of Norfolk estate when there were a scattering of farms in the area. An inventory of the belongings of a Mr Thomas Fox showed the barns contained;

Numerous farm animals and equipment including 2 horses, 1 cow and calf, 2 oxen, 5 bullocks, certain sheep old and young, 2 ploughs, I hay cart and a pair of wheels.

A framed copy of the inventory can be seen in the barn.

In 1998 the barn was purchased by the previous owners and lovingly restored to allow for a classical concert hall. A church clock showing this date was mounted on the barn.

In 2007 the barn was converted to 2 holiday homes.

The cottages have wireless broadband, disabled access and welcome pack, including tea, coffee, sugar milk bread butter half a dozen organic home laid eggs.

All bedrooms have blackout blinds.
